THIS IS LOVE
I usually start drawing without choosing a theme for my work. If I had a theme appropriately, I wouldn't be able to draw anything that I subconsciously want to express, or something I have never even thought about. Every time I see my completed work, I have discovered the hidden theme that I wasn't aware of before. The discovery tells me something new.

As I have experienced various art expressions for different media, I finally realized what I truly want to express. I want to depict various forms of LOVE.
We live in a world of an overwhelming amount of information nowadays. That's why I have been unconsciously seeking to depict LOVE.

Even little inspirations stimulate my subconscious, and leads me to create a story about the world. For instance, those inspirations can be ordinary ceiling patterns, the rhythm of my friend's hair moving, a scene from the film that I watched at night before, and my favorite scent of the night after rain.

The first brush stroke inspires me and leads me to the next move. And the move gives me another new idea. Such a chain of inspiration urges me to keep drawing.

The high contrast and vivid color of my works depict the ambivalence that everyone could have within themselves.
The Japanese traditional black color lets me visualize my subconscious world, and I respect the elegance of Ukiyo-e, tattoos, and delicate watercolor paints.

Because now I realized that love is my essential theme, I would create artworks which have more deeply-hidden themes. I am always the first viewer of PoN's artworks, and I even appreciate these works which give me a fresh surprise every time.
